The lucky winners of the Ipswich Rotary 2021 Adventure Trailer Raffle still can't believe their luck. Johan and Donna were all smiles as they took delivery of their glittering prize just in time for Christmas.
"We were just stunned when we got the call" they said. When they saw the trailer in the Nicholas Street Mall Donna had been drawn to the two kayaks while Johan had his eye on the tipper trailer. They thought that they would buy some tickets on the off chance and were happy to support Rotary anyway even if they didn't win. "Rotary helps a lot of good local causes with the money raised and I think that is a good thing" Johan said
With all of the extra equipment included in the prize there are plans for some family camping getaways over the holidays. The two electric bikes are due to get a workout even sooner with a long-awaited trip along the Brisbane Valley Rail Trail.
The Rotary Club of Ipswich wishes "Happy Trails" to the winners and a big thank you to everyone who bought a ticket.
100% of the funds raised go straight back into the community. This year one of charities that will benefit from the proceeds will be Ipswich Hospice Care with the purchase of automated pressure relieving mattress.
